Catering & Retail Manager £23,000 - 25,000 Ipswich, Suffolk
We are looking for a Catering & Retail Manager in Ipswich, Suffolk area. Are you the Catering Manager we are looking for? Do you have Retail and catering background in contract catering? Do you want to be part of managing a Super Multi Activity Contract (SMAC) at in Ipswich? Alongside soft FM services offer Catering, Retail and Leisure services daily for up to 4,000 MoD and civilian customers across the site. Staff restaurants, Starbucks café, Officers' & Sergeants Messes as well as bars, a coffee shop and vending services all form part of this offer? You will reporting to the Senior General Manager as The Catering and Retail Manager, you will need to have a strong culinary background with excellent cooking skills and first class operational knowledge. You will be required to ensure that all nutrition and food standards are met and maintained within the Site
You will be responsibilities for the following:
Administer the daily routines of the site catering contract in all food & beverage outlets including bars, cafes, food courts, messes and the airside feeder on behalf of the Senior General Manager.
Work closely with the Senior Warrant Officer Catering lead and manage the unit catering operations to include but not limited to food quality, customer and client satisfaction, HACCP, training requirements, security procedures, health and safety, energy & waste management.
Conduct audits of all catering operations and complete audit reports.
Ensure that all Company and Core Catering Manpower staff comply with contract and Company policies and procedures.
Deputise for the Deputy General Manager in his/her absence.

Excellent people management skills / Flexibility and ability to work on own initiative. Strong financial acumen with the ability manage costs and ensure budgets are met. Professionalism and the ability to communicate at all levels of the business. Hands on operator with the ability to lead by example through operational excellence. Strong working knowledge of Food Hygiene Regulations and HACCP. Be quality customer service focused / Strive too achieve / Provide vision and innovation / Develop talented employees / Be decisive / Have strong team building skills to be able to plan, direct and motivate your team. Good verbal and written communication skills - able to communicate at all levels within the organisation.
Are you a self starter who is analytical, proactive and positive? Are you able to handle multi assignments simultaneously?
We are looking for previous multi site experience would be an advantage. The working hours are 40 per week as required / mainly Monday - Friday but you will need to be flexible.
The ideal candidate must have corporate retail and hospitality experience, polished, hugely passionate about food, a go getter and be able to introduce new ideas and help implement new systems and procedures.
