We need an Applications Analyst with experience of gathering user requirements, training users, assisting with software implementation ( ideally Sharepoint ) and supplier management to work for one of the world's leading biotechnology companies!
Working as part of a dedicated business applications team made of support staff, developers, project managers and an outsourced software support function, you will play a key role in the ongoing development and use of all of the companies software applications.
The main functions of this role fall into 5 categories:
1) Manage the support and categorisation, via software suppliers, of all of the existing software applications.
2) Train internal users of the various key business applications.
3) Assist in the implementation and customisation of Microsoft Sharepoint ( MOSS ).
4) Software supplier contract management
5) Provide ongoing stakeholder feedback and support to the development team when acting as the business liaison / software specialist to the company.
You will work with the Applications and Operations teams to ensure the systems are running smoothly, that support issues are resolved and the users are fully trained and operational. A key element of the role will be to define application requirements to address the internal clients needs, by speaking to different types of personnel in order to gather their requirements.
