Our Clients are currently seeking a forward thinking and well motivated individual to join their ever developing Older peoples department.

You will be working in closely with other social workers and health professionals to ensure that the service users receive the best possible care.

You will be mainly responsible Using the guidelines of the Single Assessment Process, to undertake assessment of need and establish eligibility for services under Fairer Access to Care and the Care Programme. Approach for older adults with mental health problems and their carers and families. To provide a social work service for service users of the older persons mental health services and their carers, within the framework of the OPCMHTs operational policy. To manage monitor and review care plans involving service users and carers in liaison with the other workers and agencies as necessary to meet service user’s assessed need. Including users of residential accommodation and other purchased placements where appropriate.

You will need to hold

• A full social work qualification (CQSW, DipSW, Masters, BA Honours of equivalent)
• Registration with the GSCC (as a fully registered social worker)
• Previous experience in social work
• The ability to work quickly and effectively whilst keeping on top of case loads

This is initially a 3 month and 1 day Contract position however there is an option of an extension or even permanence dependant on the progression of the employee. The pay rate has been set depending on previous experience but with minor negotiations possible.
