I'm selling my volvo v40 1.9 turbo diesel, metallic black

1999, 195,000 miles on the clock, new gearbox in 2007.

This car had been fantastic until last week when it came to a juddering halt and had to be towed home. I thought the engine had gone but the engine still turns over and i've had a mechanic take a very quick look over who thinks that the cam belt has slipped and a piston may have hit a valve, but to be honest i don't really know, suffice to say all the electrics are fine.

So the good things about this car are that it pretty much runs on fresh air - fantastic miles per gallon, it's super comfortable, huge boot space, immobiliser and heated seats. It's also got an incar phone system for nokia phones. I'd definitely pay to get it back on the road if it wasn't for someone offering me a very nice bmw at a price i couldn't turn down. I had to do a lot of searching to find a v40 diesel and i've had a couple of people wanting to buy it from me randomly - when stopped at the traffic lights for example, they're good cars and hard to get hold of.

The bad points: - it's not going anywhere fast! The interior is pretty good, unfortunatley there are still a few stray dog hairs inside but a valet will clear that out easily. The paintwork is in pretty good condition - no big dings, a couple of stone chips and a few light scratches around the drivers door lock. Unfortunately it also has a crack in the windscreen - again something that has just happened which is now not worth me fixing. It's in the very bottom corner on the passenger side and whilst i don't think it's an mot failure its around 30 cm long and if i kept the car i would have had it replaced.

If you've got the knowledge to get this car back on the road this is a real bargain.
