Business Development & Out Reach Manager

Job Purpose
To deliver excellent outreach and supported accommodation services, to support monitor and review the performance of the Key workers in their duties, to meet the development needs of the organisation. Understand the issues faced by young people aged 16 - 24. Services covered, challenging behaviour, learning disability, mother and baby house, Fostering and semi independent units.
Another main duty is business development and marketing, this is a large part of the initial role, you must have previous experience with business development within a children's service, being able to visit social services and have an exceptional understanding of children Act and issues they face, such as Asylum, Fostering etc.
Principal Accountabilities and Activities
Business Development and Marketing of a 6 bedded children's home and out reach service. Take overall responsibility for the care delivery and outcomes for those placed within the services and support all key workers in their monthly supervision, monitoring their performance through outcomes for young people on their cases.
Ensure that all legal and statutory checks are completed and in place and that all risk assessments are completed. Be responsible for the assignment and weekly timetable of visits for Key workers to their respective young people. To ensure that all contracts are met.
To be aware of the needs of placing authorities and assist in the negotiation of contracts and differences in fee levels. Actively monitor the five outcomes for all young people.
To undertake property inspections to ensure effective environmental maintenance and support. Undertake formal investigations and disciplinary as required. To assist in the recruitment and selection of staff for the Outreach Service. To prepare and achieve registration within six months.
To achieve investors in people and ISO 9001 in six months
Qualifications:
NVQ3 or other relevant qualification
Experience / Skills:
Business Development skills ** Essential
Out Reach management experience ** Essential
Knowledge and experience of working with young people aged 16 - 24 ** Essential
Working knowledge of child protection ** Essential
Management experience ** Essential
Working knowledge of the forthcoming Pan London contract requirements ** Desirable
