Qualified Proofreader Now Taking Work

I am a qualified proofreader (Diploma) with experience in working both blind and against copy, and from paper-based typescripts or from screen.

I have an excellent grasp of written English, including its grammar, and am used to working to deadlines, having previously worked on business reports and time-constrained newsletters among other projects.

I charge £8 per hour for reading and correction of a paper-based typescript, and £10 per hour for reading and correction from screen. There is no difference in charge for blind or copy reading. To give you an idea of costings, it usually takes me 20 minutes to read and correct a double side of A4 of reasonable density type, or 2 web pages.

I can accept work delivered by email or post, address will be given once details are agreed.

I am happy to consider all commissions, whether it's a business report, a technical manual, or a novel.
