We are a well known insurance company with vacancies for Underwriting Assistants in many of our branches, including our office in Colchester.
Key personal attributes sought are:

- having a passion for delivering excellent customer service
- able to multi task
Duties and responsibilities include:
- underwriting business accurately and in line with established underwriting practice
- providing accurate advice and support to brokers regarding underwriting queries
- sourcing technical underwriting information
- acting as a referral point for the resolution of client enquiries
- ensuring customer service is maintained by tasks in a timely, efficient and effective manner
- producing documentation for clients
- resolving issues posed by other office staff
Skills required include:
- time management
- effective communication skills
- problem solving skills
Previous insurance experience is preferred, but not a necessity as full training will be provided. Career development opportunities are offered.
Basic salary £14,000 pa, negotiable depending upon experience.
